Nestled in the heart of Yong Peng, Johor, this charming Chinese noodle restaurant has been serving up delightful dishes for years, becoming a beloved staple in the local food scene.

Upon entering, you'll be welcomed by a cozy and comfortable indoor dining area that offers a much-needed escape from the relentless heat outside. Patrons have noted the establishment's "old school" vibe, which beautifully complements the traditional recipes on the menu. One of their standout offerings is the scallion oil tossed flat noodles; they are expertly cooked to perfection, showcasing a balanced layering of flavors that dance on your palate. For those seeking hearty additions, the fried dumplings and fish cakes come highly recommended and are best enjoyed with their special chili sauce, which adds an irresistible kick! As customer Jason Huang noted, the enticing combination of flavors makes this a go-to spot for many families traveling through the region.

Old school foo chow fishballs. Pretty well known given the years it’s been around. Has air conditioned area which is a much needed reprieve from the immense heat outside. There are actually loads of “Restorans” selling the same food.

This fish ball noodle shop is a must-try for tourists, famous for its fish balls made from ikan parang. The indoor dining area is comfortable and not too hot, but be prepared for a wait around 30 minutes, so may not ideal if you’re starving. I ordered the scallion oil tossed flat noodles, which were surprisingly not bad The noodles were perfectly cooked, with layered, well-balanced seasoning that wasn’t greasy or overly salty. The soup was comforting and clean tasting, without that heavy MSG aftertaste. Unfortunately, the fish balls didn’t quite capture the distinct ikan parang flavor I expected, though they were still pleasantly springy. I was hoping for a firmer, more solid texture.

Came here again on 15 Jun and not disappointed with the food and service. Tried the fish cake and fried dumpling and they were so goooood. Must try it with their chili; goes very well with them but a tad spicy though. This place has become my family’s go-to fix for breakfast or lunch when we do road trip to northern Malaysia. — Planned and made a detour to have lunch at this place during my road trip up to Kuala Lumpur. Place was easy to find along the main road. Parking is limited so good to park at other nearby place and walk over. Place is spacious, clean and has a rustic feel. Staff is polite and efficient. Food-wise, just as good. In fact, it was great. I thoroughly enjoyed the food we ordered, noodles with fishball, yong tau foo in soup and fried beancurb skin. I give all of it five out of five star. Fishballs was springy and fresh. Noodles was tasteful. All the food came hot. I would definitely come again and try the other dishes.

Roadside eatery with authentic hand and home made fishball noodle soup. Yong Tau Hu is good to and complements the main fishball meal well. Must try the special chilli sauce. Tea is served old school style where the cups come in hot water for rinsing. Located on the main street in Yong Peng and a convenient side detour, 5 minutes off the North South highway.

Good serving of food and remains the same for decades. Look the fish cake and their fish balls. The variety in noodle options is welcomed. I like the brown sugar lemongrass drink.
